What if you didn’t have to spend time each day prepping dinner? What if you could cook just one day and have meals in your freezer for the entire month! Doesn’t that sound tempting?
Well, Gr8 Friends, we have found the website to help you…
We are excited to announce our partnership with Once a Month Meals. Once a Month Meals walks you through everything required to plan, cook and freeze a month’s worth of meals in just one day. They have over 600 menus, from traditional to holiday to diet to gluten free to paleo…you name it and they probably have it. Once you customize the menu to your likes, family size, etc. they provide the shopping list, prep instructions and cooking directions. You spend a day cooking and freezing and the rest of the month all you have to do is EAT!
The Once a Month Meals team tests every recipe to ensure that it is freezer friendly. So far there are five of our recipes on the site, some snacks, appetizers, and a coffee cake. We will be adding more as time goes by.
I’m especially excited to use Once a Month Meals for the holidays when the kids are home. Time flies by and I don’t want to spend all of mine in the kitchen. Since the number of servings can be specified, it will be easy to prep and freeze meals for the month that will feed the whole gang…I can’t wait to get started!
Now, there is a small monthly fee for the service, but if you figure that your trips to the grocery store will be reduced, I bet you will save that amount in impulse purchases!
In the meantime, we featured a dish this week that is perfect for the freezer!
Anna decided to try making homemade pasta without a pasta machine…so easy! Nonna Anna helped create this Browned Butter Squash Pasta. Full of the flavors of the season…hope you try it!
Debbie is our “crafty” one and she introduced us to a Gr8 Idea for making edible Witch’s Brooms using Red Vines, the perfect seasonal treat! The kids will love these!
Hope you are enjoying all the Gr8 Flavors of the season.
Be a Gr8 Friend!
