Chocolate, Caramel, Peanut Candy Bars

Ingredients

You will need:

  • 2 cups light corn syrup,, divided
  • 1 cup cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 cups sugar,, divided
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups roasted salted peanuts
  • 1 egg white,, at room temperature
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pound chocolate candy coating,, *See Gr8 Note

Notes

Gr8 Do-Ahead Tip:
I made the peanut caramel layer one day; then the next day the peanut nougat was made. And on the third day the bars were cut and dipped. If you don't have a big block of time, this works Gr8! Candy can be made up to two weeks ahead of time and stored sealed in an air tight container.
Gr8 Chocolate Note:
Many years ago a friend of mine suggested using Plymouth Pantry Almond Bark Chocolate Flavored Coating. And it is a time saver if you don't have the time to temper your chocolate. The coating is smooth and able to be held in your hand without melting immediately...and it's delicious!
